Lab note, checked 15 September 2026. Most ‘unsecured’ micro-business lines still take a personal guaranty. The unsecured part means no blanket UCC on the laptop. We reviewed 6 public overlays on 13 September 2026. Revenue floors sat between $5,000 and $15,000 a month. Time in business floors: 6–12 months.
| Check | Recorded value |

Unsecured is not unguaranteed
For a single-member LLC or a sole prop, the lender can skip a lien on equipment and still sue the owner. That is the personal guaranty. If a sales page says ‘no collateral, no personal credit check’, read the agreement. In all six overlays we opened, the guaranty was there. Two products still pulled personal credit. Four priced on business deposits plus a soft personal peek.
A merchant cash advance is not a line of credit. It buys future receipts at a factor rate. The factor is not an APR, which is why it looks cheaper until you annualize it. This guide is for revolving or re-drawable lines that print an APR or a periodic rate. If the contract is a daily ACH of 10% of sales, you are in MCA territory. Leave.
Overlays that actually screened files
Revenue floors clustered at $5k, $8k, and $15k average monthly deposits. Time in business: two products accepted 6 months, the rest wanted 12. EIN vs SSN: sole props can apply on SSN; LLCs should bring the EIN letter. A one-month-old LLC with a personal account is a personal loan wearing a business hat. Price it as a personal loan.
Draw fees, inactivity fees, and ‘renewal’ origination on month 13 showed up in three fee schedules. A $25,000 line that costs 2% to draw and 1.5% to renew is not a 12% APR product even if 12% is the headline.
What to put in the packet
Last 3–6 months of the operating account, EIN letter if any, a one-page description of what the draw buys (inventory, ads, a used van), and the owner’s ID. Do not send tax returns if the overlay says statements-only; extra docs can move you into a slower channel. Do send tax returns if they ask. Mismatch is a decline.
If the capital is really a car for Uber, use the auto path instead of stuffing a vehicle into a working-capital line. Lines that allow ‘any business purpose’ still flag titled assets.
Live hop and CPA reality
SuperMoney offer 1935 (small-business loans) is bound on this site. Checks in this band are often $150–$350+ CPA for the publisher, which is not your cost. Your cost is the APR, fees, and guaranty. Open the listing, pick a provider that shows a line of credit rather than a split-withholding MCA, and read the TILA or commercial disclosure they actually give you. Commercial credit is not always TILA-covered. If they skip a box, ask for the periodic rate, draw fee, and default rate in writing.
Pros
- All six ‘unsecured’ SKUs skipped a blanket UCC in the public overlay.
- Statement-based files exist for 6-month-old shops.
- Marketplace hop includes commercial products above personal-loan caps.
Cons
- Personal guaranty was universal in the sample.
- MCAs share the same marketplace shelf; you must filter them out.
- Commercial agreements may omit a TILA box; you have to demand the rate stack.
One first-party hop: SuperMoney small-business loans. Filter for a line of credit. Skip merchant cash advances that debit a percent of sales.
FAQ
Can I hide the guaranty behind an LLC?
Not in this sample. Single-member LLCs still signed personally.
Is 1935 an MCA?
It is a SuperMoney commercial listing. Some offers on a marketplace are MCAs. Filter.
What if I am pre-revenue?
This guide does not cover that. Pre-revenue is equity or a personal loan.
If the agreement has a personal guaranty, underwrite your household like you would a personal loan. The LLC letterhead does not absorb the default.
This page is independent editorial research. It is not legal, medical, or financial advice. Partner hops, when present, use first-party /go/ routes with rel="sponsored nofollow" and are advertising, not an approval or a guarantee.
How to read the table
Every number on this page is tied to the 15 September 2026 check window. If a vendor changes a form, a fee, or a firmware build after that date, treat the table as a snapshot, not a live API. Re-run the same steps on your own file before you spend money. We would rather publish a dated clock than a timeless adjective.
Where a commercial hop is missing, that is fail-closed policy, not an unfinished sentence. A button that 404s is worse than no button. Official government or vendor privacy forms are cited as steps, not as affiliate inventory.
Form the LLC before you send the packet
A one-month-old LLC with a personal checking PDF is a personal loan in a costume. If you actually need the commercial overlay, get the EIN letter first. Zenind is a live US company-formation hop on this site. Articles of organization plus the CP 575/EIN letter are the two files the six overlays asked for when the applicant was not a sole prop on SSN.
Do not buy a registered-agent add-on you will not use. Do not form in a state you do not operate in because a landing page called it “tax friendly”. Form where you live, get the EIN, run 90 days of operating deposits, then open the SuperMoney small-business listing. Zenind is formation. SuperMoney is capital. Mixing them on one button is how this page would become a doorway; they stay sequential.
Open Zenind formation (sponsored)Advertising. Not a credit line. Not legal advice.
