Commercial & Editorial Disclosure
Affiliate disclosure: FoxyFinance.org is an independent information site. We may earn a commission from first-party /go/ partner hops at no extra cost to you. We do not take loan or card applications, and we do not collect payments.
This page is the commercial and editorial record for FoxyFinance.org, not a product pitch. On 12 September 2026 the desk spent 18 min on live partner landings and followed 2 first-party hops. Those hops are the only commercial links below. They use rel="sponsored nofollow". A 302 is not a promise that every state, credit file, or ITIN/SSN profile sees the same destination.
What this site is, and what it is not
FoxyFinance.org publishes borrowing cost explainers for a United States reader: personal loans, credit cards, refinance shopping windows, and fee traps. We compare published TILA fields when a partner shows them. We do not underwrite. We do not issue credit. We do not tell you that any lender will approve you.
If a page on this site shows an APR, a dollar amount, or a monthly payment, treat it as a labeled example unless the sentence says the figure was read from a live partner screen on a dated desk pass. Hypothetical math exists so you can see how origination fees and term length change total cost. It is not a quote, not a prequalification, and not a contract.
How compensation works
Some links route through our Offer Hub as first-party paths such as /go/credit-cards/ and /go/personal-loans/. If you click and later complete a qualified action that the partner reports, we may be paid. The payment does not change the APR, fee table, or denial reason you see on the partner site.
We do not let compensation invent a star rating, a “guaranteed approval” line, or a fake USD bonus. If a product is paused, geo-blocked, or missing from the Hub, the editorial page can still exist; the commercial hop is hidden or fail-closed. Missing a hop is not a reason to paste a raw affiliate URL into the article.
TILA, APR, and figures we will not invent
The Truth in Lending Act requires creditors to disclose finance charge and APR in a form you can compare. That duty sits on the lender or card issuer, not on a comparison site. When our guides use numbers, they are either (1) copied from a dated partner screen, or (2) marked as a worked example.
Worked example, labeled as such, not a live offer: a $10,000 installment at 13.99% APR over 36 months is a different cash cost than a revolving balance advertised at 24% APR if you only pay a small minimum. The gap is the reason we publish decision trees. It is not a reason to treat 13.99% as “your rate.” Your rate, if any, appears on the creditor’s TILA disclosure after underwriting.
We will not publish an APR range we did not read, a funding-time promise we did not time, or a fee of $0 unless the partner page actually showed zero. “Not checked” stays “not checked.”
Eligibility we cannot certify
SSN, ITIN, income, debt-to-income, state residence, and existing-customer flags are decided by the creditor. A marketplace prequalification that uses a soft pull is still not a commitment. A hard pull can mark the file. If two lenders are shopped inside a short window, some scoring models treat that as rate shopping; stacking hard pulls outside that window is a different file event. We describe that window in separate guides. This disclosure does not certify that your file will get that treatment.
Cons, limitations, and conflicts
Read these limitations before you treat any FoxyFinance page as a decision:
- Partner terms, APRs, and fee tables can change after our desk date without a banner on this site.
- A first-party hop can land on a different product than the brand name in the article if the Hub destination was updated later.
- Prequalification copy on a partner page is not a binding offer and may still be followed by a hard inquiry.
- We may earn a commission, so commercial hops are concentrated on Hub offers rather than every lender in the United States.
- State rules, military lending caps, and ITIN policies are not verified here for every reader; confirm them on the creditor’s legal pages.

How to use FoxyFinance pages without treating them as a lender
Match three identifiers on the partner site before you submit anything: legal entity name, product name, and the URL that actually hosts the application. Keep a screenshot of the APR, origination fee, and any chat claim about funding speed. If those three identifiers do not match the article, stop; the hop may have rotated.
Open partner landings in a session you control. Note currency, minimum amount, and whether the next step is a soft estimate or a full application. Leave without submitting until the TILA box, not our example table, is the number you are willing to carry.
Editorial rules on this domain: no fabricated star ratings, no copied bonus percentages we cannot re-check, no second commercial button stacked on a disclosure page, and absences labeled as absences. Questions about a specific guide belong on that guide, not as extra CTAs here.
